Historian

Diana Critchell Kuhnell

I have always been interested in history. I have been an antiques collector since my teenage years and a former antiques dealer in Milford.

Since the first idea for a local historical society in 1967, my husband and I have been involved and were among the first members—a year before we were married! The society was known then as “Old Milford, Inc.” I have seen and been a part of many changes over the years.

In those 58+ years, I have created artwork, presented programs, organized special events, created displays, and served the Society as librarian, docent, curator, and historian.

Being a board member has been both an honor and an opportunity to help preserve not only Greater Milford’s history but also our wonderful museum, Promont.

Board Member

George Pattison

George has lived in Milford, Ohio, since 1978. He began his career as a Clermont County Assistant Prosecutor in 1975. In 1980, he was elected Prosecuting Attorney and was reelected in 1984. In 1989, he entered private practice, until 2012, when he was elected Judge of the Clermont County Municipal Court, serving for four years. George reentered private practice in 2016, where he continues to practice law. He has held leadership roles in many community organizations and has received numerous awards and recognitions.

Board Member

Peggy Rosenbluth

I have been retired for 15 years from Ethicon Endo-Surgery, a Johnson & Johnson company, where I managed the department that trained our sales staff and surgeons on how to use our surgical equipment. Before working for J&J, I started several small businesses, including a pottery studio on my small farm in Amelia. I ran the studio and taught students how to make clay pottery.

Eleven years ago, I closed the studio and moved to Milford to care for my mother. After her passing, I became active in Promont. My past connection to Art Affair, where I had a booth for two years, sparked my interest in the history of the Promont building. I soon began volunteering for events and am now proud to serve on the board.

My interests include playing euchre, traveling, dining out with friends, walking, attending concerts, spending time with my dog, participating in Milford First UMC, and enjoying time with my friends and family. I look forward to supporting Promont as a board member.

Board Member

Debra Patek

With a background in economics and marketing research, I’ve spent my career understanding how people’s values and experiences shape their decisions. This same curiosity drives my interest in history and genealogy, especially the everyday lives of those who came before us.

My family moved to Milford when I was 12, and I was fascinated by the beautiful Victorian house on the hill—Promont. I’m excited to be involved with the Greater Milford Area Historical Society, preserving and sharing this part of our history.

Executive Director

Amy Pritts

A retired teacher with a 44-year career, I now supervise student teachers at the University of Cincinnati and Mount St. Joseph University. My passion has always been history. Growing up with a historian mother in New York, I shared in her excitement about local history. This passion has stayed with me throughout my life, and I absolutely love sharing the unique and wonderful history we have here in Milford.

I look forward to continuing the work of our Historical Society as we grow and support our community. If you’ve thought about becoming more involved in our organization, please know that your enthusiasm for our history will be welcomed and appreciated. I look forward to working with you!
